This guide is for users who have purchased an MQA Labs plugin.
Download
Visit the Downloads section of your MQA Labs account to download the plugin package. Here, you can also deposit your license directly into your iLok account.
We recommend downloading the installer to an easy-to-access folder on your computer, such as Downloads or Desktop.
Installation
macOS:
Your downloaded file will be in ".zip" format. Unzip to find the installer file: "MQALabs_Inspira.pkg", or “MQALabs_Endura.pkg”. Double-click the ".pkg" file to start the installation.
Windows:
Your downloaded file will be in ".zip" format. Unzip it to reveal the “.exe” installer. We recommend using the default installation location (C:\Program Files\Vstplugins), as most DAWs recognise it automatically. If you’re familiar with setting custom plugin paths in your DAW, feel free to choose a different location.
Now that you have installed your MQA Labs plugins, there's just one more step.
Activation
There are two ways to activate your plugin:
- The Activation Window that appears when you open your DAW
- The iLok License Manager
Since the Activation Window appears when you open your DAW, this tends to be the quickest method.
The benefit of using the iLok License Manager method is that it provides a full overview of your account, how many activations have been used, and where they are assigned.
Activation Window
- After installing the plugin, open your DAW. The Activation Window should appear automatically. If the window does not appear, you may need to have your DAW rescan your plugins. Alternatively, insert any MQA Labs plugin on a track to make it appear.

You’ll be prompted with two options: Activate or Quit. Choose Activate.
- If you’re not already logged into your iLok account, you’ll be prompted to enter your iLok credentials. Click Next. If you’re already logged in, skip to step 4.
- Select the license you want to activate, then click Next. You’ll be presented with a list of available locations – choose your iLok USB key (this must be plugged in). Click Next, then Continue to confirm the activation.
iLok License Manager
- Open the iLok License Manager. On macOS, it’s located in the Applications folder; on Windows, search for it in the Start Menu.
If you still can't find the iLok License Manager on the computer, you can download the installer for it from the official website. Please note that the iLok website cannot be used for this set up. These steps must be followed using the iLok License Manager application. - Sign in to your account. To view all your licenses, click on your username and select All Licenses. You could also choose Available Licenses, to see licenses with available activations.
- Right-click the plugin license, then select Activate. You can also select the license and drag it across to the desired activation location. If you have used this method, skip to step 5.
- You can now choose your activation location. This can be the iLok USB stick if it’s registered to your account and inserted into the computer.
- Confirm your activation by clicking OK.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can I activate the license on more than one computer?
A: Currently, each licence only allows for one activation. You can see how many activations you have left in the Activation column in the iLok License Manager.
Q: Do you support offline activations?
A: Yes. You can temporarily connect to the internet to create the activation, then go offline. Alternatively, use an iLok USB key: Activate on an online computer, then transfer the key to your offline computer.
